Mechanic in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Starting Hourly Wage: $16.00 - $20.00We have an open Mechanic position. Responsible for inspecting and repairing fleet vehicles, performing preventative maintenance on vehicles periodically, evaluating and coordinating repairs under warranty, and performing inspections on new vehicles.
1. Perform repairs on vehicles, notify appropriate personnel for transportation to auto and body shops if required and enter status of vehicles to computer.
2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical problems; document problems and actions needed to repair vehicles.
3. Order vehicle parts and supplies to maintain and update department inventory; coordinate the acquisition and disposal of waste products.
4. Monitor computer for updates and perform routine and preventative maintenance on vehicles including oil changes, tire changes and parts replacement.
5. Perform state vehicle safety inspections on new vehicles and assist with in-fleeting new vehicles as required.
6. Perform various warranty repairs as identified in technical service bulletins and/or recall notices.
7. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Thorough knowledge of mechanical repair procedures for vehicles.
-Thorough knowledge of automobile parts and operation.
-Knowledge of CRT operation.
-Ability to negotiate with vendors on materials and supplies.
-Ability to operate mechanical tools including tire machines, balance machines, battery chargers and AC vacuum motors.
-Basic knowledge of the car rental industry.
-Good oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to prioritize tasks.
-Ability to work independently.
-Ability to identify problems in vehicle operation and effectively determine a plan of resolution.
Required Education/Experience
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Vocational training or the equivalent in Automotive Mechanics or a related field.
-Three years experience in H/VAC, electrical repair, or general mechanics.
-Position requires at least 2 ASE certifications.
-Valid driver's license as required by state.
Mechanic in Santa Clara, CA
Starting Hourly Wage: N/AWe specialize in the repair of small to medium sized construction equipment with such brands as Wacker Neuson, Multiquip, Kohler, Wisconsin, and Honda.

Starting Hourly Wage: N/A1 opening for a Power Gen Technician in New Hudson, MI
Job Summary:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all makes of non-vehicle engines (diesel, gasoline, gaseous), AC/DC generators, electrical/electronic controls, automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, generator networks, and related components of the generator system (batteries, battery charger, fuel system, cooling systems, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Field installation, repair and maintenance of Industrial (6kw and above) Power Generation Systems.
Maintain truck stock inventory.
Timely completion of all work order related paperwork.
Communicate with supervisor and/or customer in a professional manner.
Provide quotations for follow-up repairs.
Schedule and organize repairs, procure necessary parts and materials.
Assist other Technicians in troubleshooting.
Maintain good customer relations.
Research for repair parts and procedures dealing with other manufacturer's equipment.
Consult manufacturer on undocumented repair issues and new product issues/problems.
Provide training/orientation to customers regarding power systems.
Perform preventive maintenance service.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two year or four year college or trade school diploma (Diesel Engines, Electrical, Mechanic and/or Power Generation.
3-5 years apprentice/journeyman program.
Cummins Power Generation training.
Experience in Power Generation Field Service.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of electricity and power generation.
Logic and troubleshooting skills.
Reading and interpretation of blue prints, schematics, and power-line diagrams.
Familiar with and working knowledge of low and medium voltage systems.
Working knowledge of AC & DC motors.
Knowledge of National Electric Code and OSHA regulations.
Thoroughly familiar with Electrical Safety Standards.
CDL with clean driving record, per company policy.
Transfer switchgear knowledge.
Natural gas and diesel engine mechanical background.
Understanding of resistance load banks and related testing.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to function effectively, and efficiently, without constant supervision.
Proficient with computer skills: Microsoft Windows, Adobe, mapping software (including GPS).
Ability to use Quick Serve Online.
